JWs use this scripture to substantiate their claim that Jesus is Jehovah's first creation.

The word translated as "beginning" is arche (ἀρχὴ)

a. used absolutely, of the beginning of all things (Genesis 1:1)
b. in a relative sense, of the beginning of the thing spoken of

2. the person or thing that commences, the first person or thing in a series, the leader:

3. that by which anything begins to be, the origin, active cause
Is Jesus the "arche" of creation meaning:

1. He rules creation?
* Yes

2. He is the beginner of creation in the sense that he is the source of creation?
* Yes

- He is the first thing God created so when God began creation he began it by creating Jesus?
* No
Revelation 21:6-7 NWT

And he said to me: “They have come to pass! I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga, the beginning and the end. To anyone thirsting I will give from the spring of the water of life free. Anyone conquering will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

Who is the one saying they're the "beginning and the end"?
* Jehovah (The Father)
Does this mean that Jehovah God has a beginning?
What does it mean when Jehovah says he's the "A and the Z" and the "beginning and the end"?
* It means he's been there from the start and he will be there at the very end.
Isaiah 41:4 NWT

Who has acted and done this,
Summoning the generations from the beginning?
I, Jehovah, am the First One;
And with the last ones I am the same.

Isaiah 44:6 NWT

This is what Jehovah says,
The King of Israel and his Repurchaser, Jehovah of armies:
I am the first and I am the last.
There is no God but me.

What does it mean when Jehovah say he is the first and the last?
Matthew 16:27 NWT

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then shall he render unto every man according to his deeds.

So who is coming to judge?
John 5:22 NWT

For the Father judges no one at all, but he has entrusted all the judging to the Son,

Will the Father come to judge anyone? Who is coming to judge?
John 5:27 NWT

And he has given him authority to do judging, because he is the Son of man.

Who is the one judging? The son, right?
Revelation 22:12 NWT

“‘Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to repay each one according to his work.

So who is coming to judge? Jesus, right?
Revelation 22:13 NWT

I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

Who is speaking here?
* Jesus
If Jesus is a creature, how can he say that HE is the 'Alpha and the Omega' and the 'beginning and the end'?
If Jesus is not a creature, what does it mean that Jesus is the "arche" of creation?
Revelation 5:13 NWT

And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and underneath the earth and on the sea, and all the things in them, saying: “To the One sitting on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing and the honor and the glory and the might forever and ever.”

For how long will God the Father and Jesus the lamb be praised?
* Forever and ever

How many will praise God the Father and Jesus forever and ever?
* "every creature"
If Jesus is a creature, how can he be separate from every creature in all creation? How can he be with God getting the same exact worship that God the Father gets from every creature?
