John 17:3 NWT
This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
* JWs use this verse to substantiate their claim that Jehovah is "the only true God" and that Jesus is not Jehovah.
Who is Jesus praying to? * The Father (Jehovah)
Christians (trinitarians) also believe that the Father is the "only true God" along with the Son and the Holy Spirit... does any part of this verse exclude the divinity of Jesus or the Holy Spirit?
Watchtower teaches that Jesus is "a god" but not Jehovah God... If Jehovah is "the only true God", does this mean Jesus is a "false" god?
* Only if one assumes beforehand that God is unipersonal can one conclude that John 17:3 proves that only the Father is true God.
